The GPS-ION is a master clock that synchronizes to GPS atomic clocks and outputs Kinemetrics/Truetime, PPS, and interval blanking.

TIME REFERENCE

  • When synchronized, a GPS-ION's accuracy is as accurate as a GPS satellite atomic clock
  • Should the GPS-ION lose (or never initially receive) GPS signal, it will revert to an internal calibrated oscillator and typically maintain accuracy of <165 ms per day

  • Pulse per Second (PPS) - 3.3 V-TTL, Accuracy ± 50nS (when synchronized)
  • Kinemetrics/Truetime ASCII serial output (works on select ION electric meters) via RS-232 and RS-485 (unidirectional differential output)
