Masterclock® Statement of Quality


Masterclock® takes considerable pride in the inherent design quality we put into every product.


  1. All products are designed in a robust metal case.
    1. Inherently improve shock and vibration performance.
    2. Improve electromagnetic interference performance. This keeps nearby devices from interfering with clock performance as well preventing the electrical signals within the clock from compromising the performance of other electrical products.
    3. The metal case provides a natural ground plane for our wireless products to extend range and minimize interference.
    4. The aesthetics of a powder-coated metal case do not change over time.

  2. Analog clocks use metal movements.
    1. After testing plastic movements we found the life of a plastic movement is on the order of two years. We considered this to be unacceptable for a commercial grade product. All Masterclock® clocks use metal gears and movements.

  3. All products are manufactured with commercial grade components.
    1. Commercial grade components are specified and tested more extensively and at a wider temperature range. Although more expensive, a product made with commercial grade parts provides a more reliable product with a longer service life.

  4. All displays use Light Emitting Diodes (LED). Compared to a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), LED’s offer a life that is hundreds of times greater than LCD’s and have larger viewing angles, wider temperature ranges, significantly better shock and vibration performance, improved sunlight readability and do not require backlighting.

  5. All products are designed and manufactured in the United States allowing complete control of manufacturing and design quality.

  6. Products are used extensively in critical applications such as airports, broadcast, military, factories, emergency centers, hospitals, and utilities.

    We were selected for these major applications on basis of performance, quality, and rigorous testing.


Products of lower cost exist, however, when the project is reviewed on the basis of total lifecycle cost Masterclock® wins in most applications.
