Held every September just north of Reno, the National Championship Air Races have become something of a northern Nevada tradition, drawing aviation enthusiasts from around the globe. During the course of a week, the lush desert plains north of Reno play host to hundreds of aircraft, their pilots and crews, and spectators. The event showcases six racing classes, a formidable display of static aircraft, and several military and civilian flight demonstrations.
Through the use of a Stratum 1 NTP server, it is possible to produce surveillance videos with timestamps legally-traceable to UTC. This solution is far more cost-effective and accurate than others, and has quickly become the preferred option for video surveillance applications.
A GPS NTP server synchronizes to precise time from GPS satellites and operates securely behind a firewall to synchronize all elements of a system, down to the millisecond. Indeed, such servers typically have a margin of error of just plus or minus two milliseconds, which is more than accurate enough for successfully defending time-stamped evidence in a court of law.
Masterclock’s new time zone clocks can be combined to create a unique time zone display. Each clock can be customized with red, blue, green, amber, or white* (*time line only) LEDs, with a 4- or 6-digit time line and an 8-digit alpha display on the top or bottom. The clocks' small foot print minimizes required wall space while providing a clean viewing distance with 2.3-inch (5.8 cm) numeric and alpha digits.
In hospitals and medical care facilities, time is critical. Reports, charts and recorded procedures require consistent time entries to ensure accurate record keeping. With an accurate synchronized clock system hospitals can reduce time-based billing and insurance disputes, proactively minimizing risk.
