Network Time Protocol (NTP) is widely used in LANs and WANs to synchronize computer clocks to national standard time. NTP sets up a reference server within the network to 'serve' accurate time to all NTP clients in the network requesting accurate time.

Our NTP clocks contain built-in NTP clients to provide accurate and versatile time displays and take advantage of the low installation costs of using either existing or dedicated Cat5/Cat6 network cable. Need to add or move a display or Computer? There's no need to route special communication cables, simply plug the display or computer into the existing network.

While other clock systems using dedicated time input references from IRIG/AFNOR/SMPTE time code, RF, RS-232, RS-48S, impulse clocks, or AC synchronous motor, may be suitable for an application, none can offer the enhanced features, flexibility, or reliability of Masterclock’s NTP system.

Masterclock NTP clocks allow for bi-directional communication over the network including remote status monitoring and configuration of all network and display parameters via the supplied WinDiscovery software or via TELNET. Once configured, NTP clocks operate autonomously, including automatic adjustments for DST for any time zone in the world. There is no need to make rounds to inspect your clocks, change out batteries, or adjust for DST twice a year because Masterclock NTP clocks are maintenance free.
